Hiking in Lavaderos de la Reina
Meet with Explora Güéjar – Sierra – Nevada one of the most wild and natural environments of the entire Sierra Nevada National Park. The Lavaderos de la Reina, birthplace of the Maitena River, this circus glacier surrounded by immense green meadows is famous for the beauty of its waterfalls and its tunnels of snow in time of thaw. Place of great environmental value where we can find many native and endemic plants and where the main protagonist is the water in all its slopes.
Within a high mountain environment where the absence of grove and the large rocks are the general tonic we find an oasis like this where the flora and fauna of the place will not leave you indifferent.
The route begins with the transfer to the vicinity of the Piedra Partida Refuge (2450m altitude) from where after a short walk we can begin to contemplate the great oasis that appears before our eyes as if it were another world. Later we will make a circular route surrounding this beautiful glacier circus and passing by its beautiful waterfalls where we can refresh ourselves and contemplate its great environmental wealth.
