Spectacular High Mountain Route in which we cross Sierra Nevada from its north face to its south face, the Alpujarra, specifically Trevélez, the highest town of Spain located almost 1500m altitude.
The route begins in Güéjar Sierra, from where we will move to the surroundings of the Piedra Partida Refuge at 2450m thanks to the agreement that our company has with the Sierra Nevada National Park and that allows us to reach this level with our private vehicle.
From this refuge we will begin our ascent having the possibility of crowning different peaks with an altitude of more than 3000m among which we can highlight the Pico de el Cuervo (3144m), the Puntal de Vacares (3136m), the Puntal de las Calderetas (3066m) Puntal del Goterón (3067m) and the Alcazaba (3371m).
Once we reach the Alcazaba we descend to the spot known as Siete Lagunas, a glacial circus on the southeast side of Mulhacén Peak where we spend the night in the open air and where we can enjoy one of the night skies with less light pollution.
After our well-deserved rest we will descend from the Laguna Hondera (2850m) to Trevélez from where we can enjoy a stroll through its spectacular network of streets, where we can recharge our energies and enjoy the gastronomy of Alpujarra.
