Ascent Hoya de la Mora - Veleta with Crampons
A Classic Ascent of the Sierra Nevada that we could classify as an Initiation to Climbing, though it requires Medium-High Physical Preparation because of the environment we will be in. To achieve our goal it is necessary to have Basic Knowledge of Alpine Climbing and knowledge of the Use of specific tools for the activity, such as crampons, as well as a familiarity with the Basic Techniques of Progression in the High Mountain, equipment and techniques wich you will be taught during the ascent.
The ascent starts at the “Hoya de la Mora” (2516m) to ascend 850m of incline to the top where we can see, weather permitting, views as fascinating as the “Corral del Veleta” the second highest in the Sierra Nevada where we can see the string of “Three Thousands”, the Andalusian East Coast and even the mountains of the North Africa (The Rif).

Material that each participant should bring:
- Warm clothes, preferably waterproof and breathable.
- Gloves, hat and sunglases with UV protection.
- Sun and Lip Cream
- Mountain/trekking boots preferably waterproof and breathable
- Backpack with food, water and fruit
